Drone Coding Day sparks interest in STEM

March 28, 2025
Students at Sutherland House School had an exciting opportunity to take part in a Drone Coding STEM Day, delivered by Edward from Code4Drones and his fantastic team.
As the first SEND school to participate in this programme, our students were fully engaged in our Drone Coding STEM Day, thanks to the expertise of Edward, Pauline, and Ryan.
They did an exceptional job inspiring our students and making the workshops both educational and fun!
Throughout the day, students used iPads to code and control the drones, experimenting with different commands and problem-solving techniques.
They were thrilled to see their coding come to life as the drones’ completed tasks and manoeuvres, with the flipover being a firm students' favourite!
The hands on experience not only sparked their interest in STEM but also helped build confidence.
A huge thank you to Code4Drones for creating such an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
We look forward to welcoming them back in the future!
